About the Role
How-To Geek is seeking a Freelance Deals Writer to cover daily technology sales, product discounts, and promotional shopping events. In this role, you will identify high-value price drops across PC hardware, mobile devices, smart home equipment, and consumer electronics, delivering clear, straightforward analysis on why a deal is worth buying.
Working closely with our editorial team, you will evaluate historical pricing data, break down product specifications, and publish timely, well-formatted deal coverage in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Track down, evaluate, and publish timely coverage on major tech price drops, discount events, and curated product deals.
  • Analyze deals to ensure genuine value by evaluating historical pricing data, specifications, and product quality.
  • Contribute reliably and consistently under tight, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Coordinate directly with the editorial team for assignments, pitch approvals, and feedback.
  • Input work and format product links directly into our in-house CMS according to editorial guidelines.

Application Requirements:
  • Proven track record writing tech deals, buying guides, product roundups, or hardware coverage in English.
  • Familiarity with price-history tools and identifying true historical low prices versus inflated MSRPs.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within U.S. time zones.
