Job Summary

The Fraud Analytics Manager supports the Account Protection Fraud Strategy function by leading fraud trend analysis, developing mitigation strategies, and deploying datadriven solutions to manage fraud losses while supporting revenue and growth objectives. This role manages a team of fraud analysts providing realtime and trendbased insights into fraud vulnerabilities and mitigation opportunities and is accountable for optimizing fraud controls across the customer lifecycle. The manager measures and monitors fraud performance through statistical analysis to quantify risk and opportunity, advances continuous improvement through control optimization and evaluation of new tools and data sources, and fosters a collaborative, highperformance culture through technical mentorship and bestpractice adoption.


Essential Job Functions

  • Lead fraud strategy execution through advanced analytics by identifying emerging fraud trends, performing rootcause analysis, and translating insights into actionable mitigation recommendations. Evaluate strategy changes, assess postimplementation performance, and refine approaches to align with fraud loss targets and business priorities. - (25%)
  • Manage and develop a team of fraud analysts responsible for delivering realtime and trendbased insights into fraud vulnerabilities and countermeasure opportunities. Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development while providing technical and analytical mentorship, promoting best practices, and fostering a collaborative, continuousimprovement culture. - (25%)
  • Design, implement, and optimize fraud prevention controls across the customer lifecycle, leveraging existing analytics tools, fraud platforms, and detection methodologies. Identify opportunities to enhance control effectiveness through datadriven experimentation, expanded use of alternative data, and evaluation of new tools or capabilities. - (20%)
  • Measure, monitor, and report fraud performance using statistical analysis to quantify risk, opportunity, and control effectiveness. Develop and maintain meaningful performance metrics and analysis that inform leadership decisionmaking and guide ongoing strategy refinement. - (15%)
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with crossfunctional partners, including Operations, Compliance, Credit, and Product teams, to ensure fraud strategies are wellunderstood, compliant with regulatory expectations, and executed as designed. Contribute fraud risk expertise during planning and change initiatives to support successful implementation. - (15%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 8-10 years of experience in fraud risk and/or credit risk strategy development within financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience leading project(s), mentoring and/or coaching experience
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing large and complex data sets to identify fraud trends, quantify risk, and support datadriven mitigation strategies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in fraud risk management, analytics, or related risk disciplines, including leadership of fraud analysts, data analysts, or statisticians.
  • Experience utilizing FISERV fraud solutions or comparable fraud prevention platforms to develop, deploy, and optimize fraud strategies.
  • Experience using and/or coaching analysts in the use of SQL, Python, MicroStrategy, and/or other analytic business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience with optimizing risk controls, data-driven decision-making and/or fraud detection strategy design.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$112,400.00 - $179,900.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $129,300.00 - $224,900.00 Colorado: $112,400.00 - $197,900.00 New York: $123,600.00 - $224,900.00 Washington: $123,600.00 - $206,900.00 Maryland: $123,600.00 - $197,900.00 Washington DC: $129,300.00 - $206,900.00 Illinois: $112,400.00 - $197,900.00 New Jersey: $129,300.00 - $206,900.00 Vermont: $112,400.00 - $179,900.00 Ohio: $112,400.00 - $179,900.00 Maine: $112,400.00 - $179,900.00 Connecticut: $123,600.00 - $197,900.00 Virginia: $112,400.00 - $179,900.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.


You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial's 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time ("PSST") upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
