Job Description:
Join our growing team as a Sr. Liability Claims Specialist, Supervisor, at Creative Risk Solutions, where you'll lead a high-performing group of adjusters and ensure exceptional claims handling from start to finish. This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence while supporting clients with complex liability exposures. Creative Risk Solutions (CRS), a proud line of business under the Holmes Murphy umbrella, is a leading Third-Party Administrator (TPA) specializing in innovative claims management solutions. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Adjudicate claims as needed, investigate, negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Monitor claims, especially in litigation, ensuring timely responses and adherence to "Best Practices for Claims."
  • Research and respond to inquiries from insureds, claimants, agency partners, and carriers.
  • Meet with clients to discuss complex claims and coverage issues.
  • Maintain open communication with customers and fronting carriers.
  • Assist staff with litigation management and decision-making.

Management Responsibilities:
  • Ensure appropriate talent placement, coach team members, conduct performance feedback, and support career development.
  • Manage timesheets, time off requests, and participate in compensation decisions.
  • Facilitate team meetings, attend internal and external training, and coordinate ongoing training.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Set regular file review diaries and meet with staff monthly for performance enhancement.
  • Conduct quarterly team meetings and help staff set and monitor annual goals.
  • Participate in round tables, train and mentor team members, and serve on company committees.
  • Encourage subrogation and fraud identification, participate in claim reviews and Risk Control Workshops.
  • Mediate between insureds and insurance companies, interpret reports, and use data to drive change.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Technical designations encouraged, such as AIC and CPCU.
  • Licensing: Active state specific Life & Health/Property Casualty Insurance agent's license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims. Prior agency, loss control or carrier experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Skills & Technical Competencies: Knowledge of General and Auto Liability coverages and claims processing procedures. Ability to work independently and in a team, perform complex mathematical calculations, and manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of state insurance regulations, ability to pass licensing exams, and commitment to ongoing education. Contributes to workflows while utilizing resources to deliver a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Fosters relationships by understanding relevant parties, prioritizing problem-solving, and collaborating to deliver impactful solutions.
