Job description

What We Need

CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Sr. Director, Fraud Analytics and Strategy, within our US Risk division to lead the end-to-end application and transaction fraud agenda for North America lending products. This leader will own fraud analytics, policy, decision strategy, customer authentication, process design, technology roadmap and implementation within the Risk IT framework.

Working closely with Risk IT, Product, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and external partners, you will build a scalable fraud management capability that reduces fraud losses while enabling responsible growth and protecting legitimate customers. You will also serve as the senior point of escalation for material fraud events, customer-impacting issues and business partner concerns.

We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, business acumen and deep technical and analytical expertise to lead and develop a team of fraud strategy and analytics professionals. This is a player-coach role: you will set the strategic direction, influence senior stakeholders and remain close enough to the data, decision rules, models and implementation details to ensure high-quality execution.

Success will be measured across fraud loss performance, approval and authorization rates, false-positive declines, application completion, authentication success, manual review efficiency, early-life customer retention, control effectiveness and delivery of the fraud technology roadmap. You will report directly to VP, Risk Analytics and regularly collaborate with teams and other departments.

How We Work

As a Sr. Director, Fraud Analytics and Strategy you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in the Brentwood, TN.
  • Company-issued equipment + remote access

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Building an End-to-End Application Fraud and Authentication Strategy: Identified control gaps and implemented layered defenses against first-party, identity, synthetic, velocity, and organized fraud.
  • Modernizing Transaction Fraud Decisioning: Owned the fraud platform, rules, models, and strategy, improving controls for account takeover, card-not-present fraud, compromised credentials, and emerging threats.
  • Reducing Customer Friction: Lowered false-positive declines, application abandonment, repeat verification, manual-review delays, and early-life attrition while maintaining fraud losses within risk appetite.
  • Selecting and Implementing Fraud Technology: Led vendor selection, business cases, proofs of concept, implementation, and performance management across fraud, identity, authentication, and case-management solutions.
  • Strengthening Governance and Escalation Management: Established fraud policies, decision rights, change controls, and rapid-response processes for attacks and significant business escalations.
  • Turning Analytics into Action: Used monitoring, segmentation, testing, and early-warning indicators to identify fraud trends and implement measurable controls.
  • Building a High-Performing Team and Partner Network: Developed fraud talent and strong partnerships across Operations, Customer Experience, Sales, Product, Technology, vendors, and industry partners.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative, technical, or business discipline.
  • 10+ years of fraud risk, strategy, analytics, payments risk, or decision science experience, including 5+ years leading teams.
  • End-to-end experience across application and transaction fraud, including identity verification, authentication, account takeover, and payment authorization controls.
  • Proven success developing and implementing fraud strategies, rules, models, and processes that reduce losses while improving approvals and customer experience.
  • Experience owning fraud detection or decisioning platforms and partnering with technology teams through requirements, testing, deployment, change control, and monitoring.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, and managing fraud, identity, data, or technology vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with large datasets and advanced SQL proficiency; experience with Python, SAS, or R is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the card and payment lifecycle, fraud operations, manual review, disputes, chargebacks, and related controls.
  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with commercial cards, charge cards, fleet cards, small-business lending, or B2B payments.
  • Experience leading a fraud platform implementation, migration, or operating-model transformation.
  • Experience developing risk-based authentication and identity strategies across the customer lifecycle.
  • Exposure to fraud intelligence, consortium data, industry forums, or external fraud networks.

Benefits & Perks

  • Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire
  • Automatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements)
  • Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide
  • Robust PTO offerings including major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, & volunteer time
  • Employee discounts with major providers (i.e. wireless, gym, car rental, etc.)
  • Philanthropic support with both local and national organizations
  • Fun culture with company-wide contests and prizes
