Remote Fractional information

What is a remote fractional?

A Remote Fractional is a professional who works part-time or on a contract basis for a company, typically handling executive or specialized roles, but does so remotely rather than on-site. They often bring high-level expertise to organizations that may not need or afford a full-time hire. Common positions include fractional CFOs, CMOs, or CTOs, and they work with multiple clients simultaneously. This setup allows businesses to access top talent in a flexible and cost-effective manner.

How do remote fractional professionals typically manage communication and collaboration with multiple clients or teams?

Remote fractional professionals often juggle projects for several clients or organizations simultaneously, which requires clear communication and well-established systems. They usually rely on digital tools such as project management platforms, video conferencing, and instant messaging to stay connected and aligned with each team's goals and timelines. Setting expectations around availability, regular check-ins, and transparent progress updates are crucial for building trust and ensuring smooth collaboration. This role rewards strong organizational skills and proactive communication, as it helps maintain productivity and client satisfaction across diverse assignments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote fractional executive, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Fractional Executive, you need deep expertise in your field—such as finance, marketing, or operations—supported by relevant degrees and significant leadership experience. Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, project management software) and, in some cases, certifications like CPA or PMP are valuable. Strong communication, adaptability, and time management set standout professionals apart in this flexible role. These skills enable effective, high-impact contributions to multiple organizations from a distance, maximizing value while balancing diverse client needs.

Job description

Strategic CFO – Finance as a Service (FaaS) | GovCon & Growth Companies

About ROSE

At ROSE Financial Solutions, we believe finance should not be a reporting function-it should be a strategic engine for growth.

We are on a mission to automate 85% of finance and accounting by 2030, transforming the back office into a proactive, decision-ready function that empowers leaders to scale with confidence.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced CFOs who want to move beyond traditional roles and become strategic leaders in a next-generation finance model.

This is not a typical fractional CFO role.

You will:

  • Help clients become decision-ready, audit-ready, and scale-ready
  • Build financial infrastructure, not just reports
  • Leverage AI and technology (Easby) to transform finance functions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CEOs and executive teams

What You'll Do

  • Act as a strategic CFO partner to multiple growth-stage organizations
  • Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and performance optimization
  • Design and implement scalable financial infrastructure
  • Ensure DCAA, FAR, and regulatory compliance (GovCon focus)
  • Drive data-driven decision-making and KPI visibility
  • Integrate technology, automation, and AI into finance workflows
  • Support M&A, capital raises, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Mentor controllers, accounting teams, and client stakeholders

What Makes This Role Different

At ROSE, you won't just:

  • Close books
  • Review reports
  • Fix problems

You will:

  • Build systems that eliminate those problems permanently
  • Help clients scale from $2M → $50M+ with confidence
  • Be part of the transformation of the finance industry

Who You Are

  • Former CFO or senior finance leader (10–20+ years experience)
  • Strong background in GovCon, compliance, or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, FP&A, and strategic finance
  • Passionate about technology, automation, and innovation in finance
  • Able to communicate with and influence CEOs and executive teams
  • Excited by building-not just advising

Why ROSE

  • Work with high-growth companies and mission-driven leaders
  • Be part of a firm redefining finance through FaaS + AI
  • Collaborate with a team of experts across accounting, tax, and compliance
  • Flexible structure with meaningful impact on every client

Call to Action

  • If you want to move from reactive finance to building the future of finance-apply now.
