Job description

Position Overview:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day sales management efforts for the Oil & Gas market with North America. They are responsible for managing Dynisco’s direct and channel sales efforts for the Viatran brand pressure measurement market sectors for the Oil & Gas Market. The Territory Sales Manager will work closely with VP, Global Sales to recruit, hire, train and evaluate, develop, and recruit agents, distributors and channels throughout the territory. They will also use their skills to develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer base and develop strategies to meet Dynisco strategic growth plans.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets across the Americas region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within upstream Oil & Gas, particularly frac drilling operations.
  • Manage key accounts including pressure pumping service companies, OEMs, and EPC firms.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and reporting.

Technical Expertise & Solution Selling

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in pressure measurement technologies (e.g., high-pressure transducers, hammer union sensors)
  • Recommend application-specific solutions for extreme environments including high pressure, temperature, and vibration.
  • Understands the entire drilling process, complimentary equipment used to help customers with application of pressure measurement solutions.
  • Support customers with product selection, installation guidance, and troubleshooting in frac applications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to align product capabilities with market needs.

Distributor & Channel Management

  • Manage and develop distributor networks across North America, Latin America, and key regional markets.
  • Provide training, performance management, and joint customer engagement with channel partners.
  • Ensure alignment of distributor activities with company sales objectives.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor industry trends including drilling activity, frac spread counts, and capital spending.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Provide feedback to product management on market requirements and emerging technologies.

Customer Engagement

  • Conduct regular field visits, site evaluations, and customer meetings (50%+ Travel)
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and technical stakeholders.
  • Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Sales Growth Performance vs. Plan Objectives.
  • Gross Margin and Contribution Margin Performance vs. Plan Objectives.
  • Provide updated monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts for the selling region.
  • Monitor and report on Quote to Order Conversion Rates.
  • Deployment and Utilization of CRM for pipeline for prospecting and managing selling stages.

Commercial Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with various customer disciplines and other sales professionals, senior management, and internal peers in a highly cooperative manner.
  • Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex system quote requests to ensure proper product fits the application.
