Job description

[About the Role]
Join our innovative engineering team in Owego, NY as an FPGA Design/Verification Engineer, leading the development and verification of advanced ASIC and FPGA solutions for R&D programs. This is a high-impact, primarily verification-focused opportunity to work on cutting-edge, safety-critical avionics hardware that shapes the future of high-speed digital and embedded systems. Collaborate with top-tier engineers and architects in a growth-driven environment, while mentoring junior team members and influencing next-generation products.
[Responsibilities]
- Lead and execute FPGA verification activities to support DO-254 compliance for safety-critical avionics products
- Analyze requirements, develop and execute test benches, perform simulation, and conduct coverage analysis
- Collaborate with design, systems, certification, and cross-discipline teams to ensure robust system integration
- Perform back-annotation, documentation, and preparation for FAA/EASA certification audits
- Support integration, testing, and debugging of high-speed digital communication and DSP components on FPGA platforms
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing
- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline FPGA development and verification processes
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Proven expertise in FPGA verification, especially for safety-critical, DO-254-compliant avionics hardware
- Proficient with SystemVerilog, HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools
- Hands-on experience with FPGA design tools: Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups and equipment such as JTAG and logic analyzers
- Direct involvement in FAA or EASA certification audits
- Strong command of version control systems and configuration management
- Demonstrated experience in high-speed digital design, DSP, and system-on-chip (SoC) integration

- Advanced proficiency in UVM
- Skilled in C for embedded development
- Experience with COTS control platforms and embedded processors on FPGA platforms
