These sessions are facilitated by a moderator and typically take place via video conferencing platforms, allowing participants to join from any location. Remote focus groups are widely used by companies and researchers because they save time and resources while still enabling rich, interactive discussions. They often include activities like group discussions, surveys, and screen sharing to collect qualitative data. Participation is usually compensated, either with cash, gift cards, or other incentives.

This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing you to deliver high-quality mental health services to clients in the comfort of their own environments. You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans, conducting therapy sessions, and advocating for the needs of our clients as they navigate their mental health journeys.

About the Organization

Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, granting flexibility to promote a healthy work-life balance. Our team-oriented philosophy encourages regular communication and collaboration among counselors, administrative staff, and mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial interviews and mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional and psychological needs.
  • Document and maintain accurate records from the initial consultation through to discharge, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with clientsโ€™ goals.

  • Continuously monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and psychiatrists, ensuring timely communication regarding any medication adjustments needed for clients in crisis.
  • Identify and address behaviors or systemic issues that may hinder recovery, advocating for clients and their families as they work toward wellness.
  • Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges within the family context.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in serving a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families grappling with a wide range of mental health challenges. We cater to various demographics, with services tailored specifically for populations experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Your interventions will focus not only on individual recovery but also on enhancing the overall well-being of families and communities.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
  • Proven track record of success through a passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on establishing rapport with clients and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Significant experience working as a mental health counselor, with demonstrated proficiency in conducting evaluations and developing treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to promote efficient documentation and care coordination.
  • Experience addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, providing holistic support to clients.
  • Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and the ability to integrate these into your work.
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical interventions prescribed by healthcare professionals, enhancing the support given to clients undergoing such treatments.
Compensation and Benefits

Timeless Counseling Center prides itself on offering a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with a potential sign-on bonus. In addition to a fulfilling career, we offer:

  • A comprehensive healthcare benefits package, promoting your health as a valued member of our team.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer contributions, helping you secure your financial future.
