The Timeless Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time, remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and maintain thorough documentation throughout each client's journey, from initial consultation to post-treatment evaluations.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through standardized assessments and therapeutic conversations to ensure tailored care.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage participation and promote mental wellness.
• Monitor clients' progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to orchestrate holistic intervention strategies.
• Provide follow-up care for clients admitted to hospitals, maintaining communication with involved health care providers to ensure consistent treatment.
• Identify potential behaviors that may hinder recovery and proactively work to mitigate these challenges through education and support.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance on managing mental health challenges effectively within the home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Timeless Counseling Center, our clientele comprises a broad spectrum of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and dual diagnoses with substance abuse. As a counselor, you will engage with clients from varying backgrounds, each carrying their unique stories and needs, empowering them to embark on their journey to wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey.
• A successful pass score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related field.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective case management and documentation.
• Solid understanding of the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions, including experience addressing addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills and a naturally sympathetic demeanor.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in a community health clinic or similar setting focused on diverse patient populations.
• Experience using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or solution-focused approaches.
• In-depth knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
