As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough diagnostic evaluations and providing short-term psychotherapy services tailored to individual, family, and group needs.
• Engaging in treatment planning and psychotherapeutic interventions informed by evidence-based modalities.
• Collaboration with a licensed psychologist, nurse practitioner, or physician for significant clinical decisions, thereby ensuring high standards of care.
• Executing crisis interventions, couple’s therapy, skills training, and family therapy for clients with mental health and dual disorders.
• Documenting clinical services accurately in accordance with established guidelines and actively participating in clinical team meetings to improve service delivery.
• Assessing treatment needs to determine the urgency and appropriate level of care required for each client, and coordinating additional psychiatric services as needed.

This role focuses on serving a wide-ranging patient demographic, including individuals, families, and groups struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and dual diagnoses. By utilizing telehealth services, you can effectively reach clients in Paterson and surrounding communities, making a tangible difference in their lives through accessible mental health care.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Must possess a current and valid LMFT license or Psy.D to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• Hold a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in providing psychotherapy services.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health records to deliver care effectively.

In addition to the qualifications, candidates with the following experience are preferred:

• Previous experience working in a community health clinic setting.
• Familiarity with integrated healthcare models and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Expertise in evidence-based practices for diverse client populations.
