Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while providing vital mental health services. You will be part of a community health clinic that operates with a patient-first philosophy, ensuring that you have the support of a collaborative team. Our clinic hours run from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, affording you the chance to design your schedule to best meet your personal and professional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patientsโ€™ backgrounds and treatment needs.
  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each clientโ€™s unique experiences.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma, establish effective coping strategies, and support their healing journey.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care and continuity of services.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and stability.
  • Educate clients and their family members about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy methodologies, enhancing your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will primarily consist of individuals who have experienced trauma, ranging from childhood abuse to recent traumatic incidents. Your role will entail understanding their experiences and collaborating with them to establish meaningful recovery pathways. By building trust and rapport, you will empower your clients to overcome their struggles, facilitating both personal growth and emotional well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.
