The Manager, Procurement leads a team of buyers and oversees procurement operations to ensure the effective, compliant, and efficient execution of procure-to-pay activities for goods and services across ACS. This role provides leadership in staffing, training, coaching, and developing the procurement team; assigning and balancing work; monitoring performance; and driving accountability for service, quality and results. The Manager partners cross-functionally to optimize procurement processes, improve transactional and operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support the adoption of policies, systems, and ways of working. In addition, this role plays a key part in translating organization priorities into procurement practices by implementing organizational strategy across procurement activities, ensuring alignment, consistency, and execution that support enterprise goals.
***This is a remote position that can be home-based anywhere within the United States. Prior experience managing a team of buyers and procurement operation process is required.***
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee procurement operations and tactical execution of source-to-pay activities while implementing organizational strategy across procurement processes, priorities, and ways of working. (20%)

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers to ensure high-quality execution of procurement activities, balanced workloads, and strong service delivery across the organization. (20%)

  • Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders and Supply Chain teams to maintain strong relationships, align expectations, and provide clear communication on procurement requests, order status, and project support. (10%)

  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement operations, contract management, and supplier practices to enhance efficiency, service quality, and overall value. (10%)

  • Ensure compliance and risk management across procurement activities by reinforcing policies, controls, and standard practices that support sound purchasing decisions. (10%)

  • Provide performance reporting and operational insights to leadership on procurement results, strategic initiative progress, process improvement opportunities, and policy alignment. (10%)

  • Influence stakeholders and suppliers to adopt new tools, processes, and standard practices that strengthen procurement effectiveness and consistency. (10%)

  • Build a high-performance, accountable team culture focused on achieving key operational metrics, including cycle time, service levels, efficiency, and cost savings. (10%)

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain operations, procurement, or a related field preferred

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain or procurement operations

  • 3+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing staff in an operational or procurement-focused environment

  • Demonstrated success working in a highly customer- and stakeholder-focused environment with strong service expectations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, procurement operations, catalog management, contract negotiation, and source-to-pay processes

  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members with varying levels of experience and expertise

  • Strong ability to organize resources, set priorities, and implement organizational strategy through procurement activities

  • Sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills in operational, administrative, and procedural decision-making

  • Experience managing procurement activities with national, regional, and local suppliers

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to manage day-to-day interaction and coordination across a broad range of internal stakeholders and external suppliers

  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, accountability, and teamwork

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Experience using source-to-pay systems, with Coupa preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

The starting rate is $82,000 to $95,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
