You will serve as an Aircraft Examiner the Power Plant Division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Help
  • You will evaluate engine log books, scheduled removal component cards, assembly service records, module service records and special configuration records to extract and analyze vital historical data.
  • You will examine inducted damaged, regular schedule maintenance, and engineering investigation engines and components and prepare discrepancy reports.
  • You will classify and annotate on examination and evaluation discrepancy sheets.
  • You will prepare and issue condition reports and detailed work instructions to the production shops in the form of work orders.
  • You will verify prior compliance, or direct compliance of, technical directives when applicable.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Ability to examine, evaluate and analyze the condition of aircraft engines, their accessories and related components to determine, specify and control the extent of disassembly and depth of rework 2) Ability to evaluate engine log books, scheduled removal component cards, assembly service records, module service records and special configuration records to extract and analyze vital historical data. Ability to classify and annotate discreapancies during initial induction inspection which shall be corrected 3) Ability to troubleshoot aircraft engines 4) Ability to interpret complex blueprints, detailed specification, technical directives and various computer systems to control depth of rework. 5) Knowledge and skill in using various measuring instruments used in the inspection of jet engines and their related components 6) Experience at the journeyman level of the aircraft engine mechanic trade.
