The Account Sales Executive drives Ascentek’s growth by acquiring new customers within an assigned territory. This role is focused primarily on prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and closing net-new business through disciplined pipeline management and proactive outreach. The Account Sales Executive I identifies customer challenges and delivers value-driven solutions that demonstrate the benefits of Ascentek’s products, services, and technical expertise. Once new business is secured, the Account Sales Executive partners with Account Managers to ensure a smooth transition and long-term customer success. Success in this role is measured by new customer acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue growth within the territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold outreach, prospecting, referrals, networking, and market research
  • Generate a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects to support territory growth targets
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer operations, challenges, and needs
  • Present solution-based proposals that demonstrate value, efficiency, and total cost of ownership advantages
  • Guide prospects through the full sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and close
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate activity tracking within Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on pricing, fulfillment, and onboarding for newly acquired customers
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure successful customer onboarding and account transition after close
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends that may impact territory strategy
  • Represent Ascentek professionally during customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
  • Maintain consistent prospecting cadence and follow-up discipline to advance opportunities
  • Promote Ascentek’s digital tools and e-Commerce platform to enhance customer engagement
  • Analyze sales performance data and pipeline metrics to prioritize opportunities and drive results
  • Participate in ongoing training to strengthen product knowledge, technical understanding, and sales skills
  • Model Ascentek’s values through teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to doing what’s right

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience and/or Training: 

  • 1-3 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and build relationships with new customers

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

    • Strong prospecting and pipeline management discipline
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to identify customer challenges and present value-driven solutions

    Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:

      • Frequent sitting, talking, hearing, and use of hands to operate computer equipment
