We’re seeking a Senior Account Manager to join the Flavors division for the Midwest Region. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth within assigned customer accounts, categories, and territories for the Flavor Division. As a strategic business partner to customers and internal stakeholders, this individual will develop and execute account growth strategies, cultivate executive-level relationships, identify new business opportunities, and expand Takasago's flavor portfolio through innovation and customer-centric solutions.

The Senior Account Manager will leverage industry knowledge, market insights, consumer trends, and flavor industry best practices to influence customer product development pipelines and secure project opportunities. This role is accountable for achieving and exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue growth, profitability, project conversion, customer retention, innovation pipeline development, and new business acquisition while supporting Takasago's long-term strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Achieve and exceed annual sales, profitability, and growth targets through a balanced focus on new business development, account penetration, and expansion of existing customer relationships.

• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with divisional objectives and customer growth opportunities.

• Maintain a robust and healthy project pipeline through proactive opportunity generation, project management, and customer engagement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Provide market insights to support innovation and competitive positioning.

• Travel up to 50% or more as required to support customer meetings, innovation sessions, industry events, and business development activities.

• Manage a remote office environment with exceptional organization, planning, and time management skills.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the SVP & General Manager.


Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in related field, i.e. Business, Marketing, Food Science
• 7-10 years in sales/account and project management in the Food or Flavor industry

• Strong MS Office skills and commercial acumen in pricing, forecasting, and negotiations
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Required travel to customer locations, conferences, etc. to manage business

• Knowledge of flavor industry innovation processes, product development cycles, and commercialization practices.

• Strong financial acumen includes forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and margin management.

• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Proficiency with SAP, CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.

• Strong understanding of KPIs, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
