What does Remote First mean in the context of jobs?

'Remote First' refers to a work policy or company culture where working remotely is the default mode of operation. Employees are encouraged or expected to work from locations outside of a traditional office, and company systems, communication, and workflows are designed to support remote work. While some in-person workspaces may be available, they are typically optional or secondary. This approach allows for greater flexibility, access to a broader talent pool, and often improved work-life balance for employees.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote First employee?

To thrive in a Remote First role, you need strong self-management, digital communication, and time management skills, often supported by prior remote work experience and proficiency in collaborative platforms. Familiarity with tools like Slack, Zoom, project management software, and secure remote access systems is crucial. Proactive communication, adaptability, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for remote environments. These abilities ensure productivity, collaboration, and accountability without direct in-person supervision.

What are the main challenges and benefits of working in a Remote First company environment?

Working in a remote-first company offers flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team from various locations, but it also presents unique challenges. Remote employees often need to be proactive communicators and manage their own schedules to stay productive, as daily interactions can be less spontaneous than in a traditional office. Building strong relationships and maintaining team cohesion requires intentional effort through digital tools and regular virtual meetings. However, remote-first environments typically provide autonomy, support for work-life balance, and access to roles regardless of geographic location, making them appealing for many professionals.

Job description

Regional Channel Lead (Security & Identity) - West: Help Us Build the Future of Passwordless Security

The Opportunity: Build Something That Matters

Most "Channel" roles are about managing a declining spreadsheet of legacy partners. This is not that role. At SecureW2, we aren't just looking for a manager; we are looking for an architect. We have the best cloud-native, passwordless security solutions on the market. We have a culture that prizes autonomy, speed, and genuine human connection. What we need is the bridge—the person who can take our world-class tech and turn it into a powerhouse ecosystem of regional partners.

Whether you are a seasoned Channel pro or a high-performing Mid-Market/Commercial AE who is tired of the "standard" sales grind and wants to leverage your regional partner relationships to build a territory from the ground up—we want to talk to you.

Why SecureW2?

  • The Tech is the Tailwind: Cybersecurity is moving toward a passwordless, cloud-native future. We are already there. You’ll be selling a solution that solves "credential compromise"—the #1 cause of data breaches—without the clunky, expensive hardware of our competitors.
  • Culture of Ownership: We are a high-growth, remote-first company. We don’t micro-manage; we empower. You will have a direct line to leadership and the resources to execute your vision.
  • Unrivaled Support: You aren’t on an island. You’ll be backed by a world-class SE team, a marketing engine ready to co-brand your ideas, and a Sr. Director of WW Partnerships who is invested in your personal career trajectory.

The Mission

As a Regional Channel Lead (Security & Identity) - West, you will be the "CEO" of your partner territory. You will:

  • Hunt & Recruit: Identify and sign the "movers and shakers"—the regional VARs and security-focused partners who are looking for the next big thing in identity and network security.
  • Enable & Empower: Don’t just "manage" partners; make them heroes. You’ll train them to hunt with us, ensuring they have the tools and intelligence to win.
  • Drive the Pipeline: Collaborate with partners to build joint business plans that don’t just sit in a folder, but actually drive high-velocity, partner-sourced revenue.
  • Be the Face of SecureW2: Represent the brand at regional events and become the primary advocate for our partners within our internal sales and marketing teams.

Who You Are

  • A Relationship Architect: You don't just "network"; you build deep trust. You likely already have a "Rolodex" of regional partners in the networking and security space who trust your word.
  • Battle-Tested: You have 3–5 years of experience in Channel Management or as a Commercial/Mid-Market AE where the channel was your primary lever for success.
  • A "Product Person": You understand the nuances of SaaS, Cybersecurity, and Identity. You can speak the language of a CISO and a Lead Engineer with equal fluency.
  • Growth-Minded: You thrive in the "ambiguity" of a startup. You see a lack of a process not as a problem, but as an opportunity for you to create the standard.
  • Results-Obsessed: You have a track record of hitting (and exceeding) quotas and can point to specific partners you’ve successfully scaled.

The Perks

  • Work from Anywhere: 100% remote with a culture that respects your life outside of the "Zoom room."
  • Real Upside: Competitive base salary + an aggressive, uncapped bonus structure that rewards your wins.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Top-tier health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • The "Ground Floor" Feeling: The chance to be a foundational member of a global partnership team during a period of explosive growth.

Ready to build?

If you’re ready to stop managing a territory and start building an empire, we want to hear from you.
