This role operates within a fully remote work setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your chosen location. The outpatient office model means our therapists engage primarily in teletherapy—conducting assessments and therapy sessions via video conferencing using our secure Simple Practice platform. You will have the flexibility to design your schedule, accommodating your work-life balance while ensuring our clients’ needs are met efficiently.

As a Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive initial assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health needs and establish their therapeutic goals.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that reflect the needs and preferences of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Providing psychotherapy using various modalities tailored to the individual or group settings, with a focus on evidence-based interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of clinical activities, progress notes, and treatment updates in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engaging in regular consultation and collaboration with other mental health professionals and support staff to refine treatment approaches and ensure holistic care.
• Utilizing telehealth best practices to deliver effective sessions, utilizing tools such as video conferencing, secure messaging, and online resources.
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health treatment and teletherapy advancements.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a mental health clinician (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent) in compliance with New Jersey law.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling or psychotherapy, with a demonstrated track record of effective therapeutic outcomes.
• Strong skills in treatment planning and a deep understanding of mental health conditions across various client demographics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster functional dialogue with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Comfort with virtual engagement methods and proficiency in using telehealth platforms for clinical services.

Experience working within a remote or telehealth environment is highly desirable. Candidates with previous roles providing psychotherapy for a variety of age groups and presenting concerns will be given preference, especially those who have utilized tools and resources to enhance client engagement and retention in virtual settings.
