Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Helping Hands Counseling, you will:

  • Provide ethical, empathetic individual mental health counseling through secure video chat sessions.

  • Design and execute comprehensive treatment plans that include measurable goals and interventions.
  • Facilitate discussions that help clients gain insights into their emotions, relationships, and challenges.

  • Assist clients in developing robust coping mechanisms and life skills to improve their overall quality of life.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will primarily consist of stable, low-acuity adults presenting with a variety of mental health issues. These may include anxiety, mild depression, stress management, and relationship concerns. By providing tailored therapeutic approaches, you will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their mental health challenges and achieve lasting improvements in their wellbeing.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • A current, unencumbered license to practice independently as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
  • No limited or provisional licenses and no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and understanding demeanor.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly with digital communication platforms.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences would be advantageous:

  • Previous experience in a remote counseling role.
