Senior Systems Engineer Citrix NetScaler - Remote
Duration: Contract through February 2027 with potential for extension
Schedule: MondayFriday, Eastern Time Business Hours

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Citrix NetScaler ADC and enterprise application delivery infrastructure. This position is with a highly respected healthcare organization and offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical infrastructure supporting enterprise web applications and cloud modernization initiatives.

This position is 100% remote!

This is not a virtualization role. The team is responsible for enterprise load balancing, reverse proxy services, application delivery, and supporting cloud migration initiatives.

Please Note:

  • Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization.
  • No C2C, third-party, or sponsorship opportunities are available for this position.
Position Summary

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise application delivery infrastructure. You will serve as a technical leader supporting Citrix NetScaler ADC, Fortinet FortiProxy, Microsoft IIS, cloud migrations, and automation initiatives while ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support enterprise Citrix NetScaler ADC environments.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing.
  • Perform PCAP analysis and advanced network troubleshooting.
  • Manage enterprise reverse proxy infrastructure supporting public-facing applications.
  • Lead hardware refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Support AWS cloud migration initiatives from an application delivery and load balancing perspective.
  • Administer Fortinet FortiProxy or similar proxy technologies, including firmware upgrades and patch management.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft IIS web server environments.
  • Manage SSL certificates and application security.
  • Develop automation using PowerShell and other scripting languages.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive improvements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and 24x7 on-call support as needed.
  • Ensure enterprise environments remain secure, compliant, and aligned with architectural standards.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years administering Citrix NetScaler ADC, including:
    • Layer 4/Layer 7 routing
    • PCAP analysis
    • Hardware refreshes
    • Infrastructure migrations
  • 3+ years supporting cloud migrations or cloud transformation initiatives (AWS preferred).
  • 3+ years administering Fortinet FortiProxy or similar proxy platforms, including firmware upgrades and patching.
  • 3+ years managing SSL certificates.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft IIS web servers.
  • Strong experience working in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management and audit remediation.
  • Strong scripting experience using PowerShell; Java, Python, or PHP experience is a plus.
  • Experience implementing and supporting enterprise-scale application delivery infrastructure.
  • Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder to qualify.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare or other large enterprise environment experience.
  • AWS Application Load Balancer (ALB) or cloud-native load balancing experience.
  • Experience with enterprise automation and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.
