Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Telecommunications BIM Designer to join a leading global engineering and design firm. This role is essential to the heart of large-scale, advanced facility projects-specifically within the semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing sectors. You will be responsible for the setup, management, and coordination of complex Revit BIM models, transforming high-level design intent into precise, constructable 3D deliverables.
Core Responsibilities:
- Model Management: Lead the setup and management of Revit BIM models, ensuring seamless coordination across all design disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, etc.).
- 3D Coordination: Create and manage content for fully coordinated, clash-free 3D models and 2D construction drawings using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Standards Advocacy: Maintain rigorous consistency in design documentation in accordance with established industry and internal modeling standards.
- Collaborative Design: Work closely with telecom discipline leads and architects to translate complex wiring, cabling, and circuit connections into functional models.
- Effort Estimation: Estimate design hours based on markups and verbal direction to ensure project timelines remain on track.
Technical Qualifications
- Revit Mastery: Minimum of 8 years of Revit BIM design experience.
- Industry Expertise: At least 4 years of experience in telecommunications systems design and the construction industry.
- Coordination Tools: Highly proficient in Navisworks for clash detection and Bluebeam for design markups.
- Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of wiring/cabling connections, circuit links, and how codes/standards (TIA) shape design decisions.
Preferred "Plus" Skills:
- Experience with Revit MEP (6+ years).
- Prior design experience in semiconductor or advanced facility environments.
- Familiarity with specialized systems: Paging, Intercom, Audio-Visual, CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Access Control.
- Knowledge of network topology and control system components.
