As a Sales Engineer on our Enterprise team, you'll serve as a key technical resource throughout the sales process-supporting product demos, answering technical questions, assisting with integrations, and crafting custom solutions that meet our customers' unique needs. You'll work closely with Sales, and Engineering to ensure a seamless pre-sales and onboarding experience within the Enterprise Sector.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for prospects and customers throughout the pre-sales process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical stakeholders such as CTOs, CISOs, and Network Architects.
  • Partner with Sales teams to understand deal progress, tailor solutions, and strategize next steps.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, lead proofs of concept (POCs), and guide stakeholders through technical evaluations.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable, effective technical solutions.
  • Provide feedback to product and engineering based on customer insights and common integration use cases.
  • Support the design and execution of technical security solutions alongside project managers and operations teams.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation such as floor plans, scope of work, and solution overviews.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager, etc.) or relevant work experience 
  • Passion for technology and demonstrated interest in both hardware and software solutions 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to our customers and partners  
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent account management, problem-solving, and attention to detail 
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and routing/switching devices is preferred but not required 
  • Familiarity with Physical Security products, such as Security Cameras, Access Control, and IoT devices is a plus
  • Experience and familiarity with LLM systems, prompting, and terminology
  • Experience working with APIs, Python, other coding languages is a plus
LOCATION 
  • This is a remote position open to candidates based in the U.S.
  • Candidates located in the Central Time Zone (CST) are preferred.
HYBRID REQUIREMENTS 
  • Sacramento candidates must be able to commute to the office up to 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday)
  • San Francisco-Bay Area candidates must be able to commute to the office 1 day per week (Tuesday)
TRAVELCandidates can expect up to 25% overnight travel as required for this role.   
WORK AUTHORIZATION
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. 
ESTIMATED ANNUAL PAY RANGE (BASE + OTE)
$120,000 - $150,000 USD

Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include uncapped commission, performance incentives, discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
