Job description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Bellevue, WA Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Remote – offsite Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Design reactor structures and components from concept through final design.
  • Develop equipment and component design solutions based on engineering and project requirements.
  • Perform scoping calculations and engineering analyses to support design decisions.
  • Interface with engineering analysis teams and support integrated design efforts.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews, evaluating technical solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate supplier and subcontractor technical activities.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Support continuous improvement and application of nuclear industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of equipment/component design experience (M.S. may count toward experience).
  • Working experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III.
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), preferably using ANSYS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
