Job description

Azalea Health is seeking a Financial Applications Consultant to partner with Enterprise Clients in implementing our EHR and Practice Management solutions. This consulting role combines deep hospital revenue cycle expertise with financial application implementation to help clients improve operational performance and adopt industry best practice while supporting long-term operational stability.

WHAT YOU WILL DO...

Serve as a trusted advisor to hospital leadership by analyzing current revenue cycle challenges, then designing technology and workflow solutions that improve operational performance and support industry best practice.

Configure and validate financial system data, including general ledger structure, components, charge workflows, and financial controls.

Lead financial discovery and workflow design sessions to ensure system configuration aligns with client operational and reporting needs.

Provide subject matter expertise in hospital revenue cycle and financial system configuration, ensuring alignment between operational workflows, best practice and system architecture.

Review and assess client financial data for completeness, accuracy, and readiness prior to build activities, identifying financial risks or gaps early in the implementation lifecycle in order to mitigate appropriately.

Collaborate with ERP, encoder, clearinghouse, and other integration partners to ensure accurate financial data flow.

Partner with clinical and applications team members to ensure coordinated delivery across functional areas.

Mentor Applications Specialists and provide detailed documentation during projects to enable them to successfully train clients and assist in configuration

Provide both remote and on-site subject matter expertise during all phases of the implementation.

Support the delivery of other Azalea product lines as needed, including post implementation optimization and training.

Contribute to the development and refinement of implementation methodology,

training, standards, and documentation.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS YOU WILL BRING...

Multiple years of progressive experience in hospital revenue cycle, patient accounting or hospital financial systems, with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Rural Emergency Hospital (REH) and/or Rural Health Clinic (RHC) experience strongly preferred.

Experience serving in a senior operational or leadership role within a hospital revenue cycle department such as Revenue Cycle Director, Business Office Manager, Patient Financial Services Manager, Hospital Billing Manager, Revenue Integrity Manager, Revenue Cycle Analyst, Senior Biller or equivalent.

Demonstrated expertise in hospital financial revenue cycle operations, including patient accounting, reimbursement, billing, claims management, denials management and financial reporting.

Ability to translate complex financial requirements into appropriate system

configurations.

Comfort working in dynamic implementation environments with evolving

requirements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with executive leadership, operational stakeholders and internal teams.

Ability to travel up to 50%
