Job description

Role Overview
Transcend is seeking a Director of FP&A to build and scale the financial planning, forecasting, and performance management capabilities of the company. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will guide long range planning and act as a partner to leaders across the organization by enabling data-driven decision-making. You will also work closely with the executive team to ensure alignment between financial goals and business objectives.
This is a remote, Full-Time, Exempt position based in the United States. The successful candidate must have valid work authorization, as visa sponsorship is not available. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Lead the preparation of financial and KPI reporting to ensure accountability against goals and business objectives.
  • Deliver business insights to the executive team and cross functional partners.
  • Implement scalable, repeatable processes that bring accuracy and accountability to financial planning cycles.
  • Manage projects to improve systems and tools that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 10+ years of FP&A experience, including building FP&A functions and technology stacks from the ground up.
  • Experience with financial planning systems such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Pigment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading planning cycles.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear insights for business partners.
  • Experience translating between GAAP and non-GAAP financial metrics.

Preferred:
  • Deep understanding of SaaS metrics.
  • Experience scaling a technology business.
  • Experience supporting GTM organizations.

This role is eligible for:
  • Variable Compensation (Bonus): Is designed to reward achievement of performance goals.
    • On-Target Earnings ("OTE"): Compensation is structured based on an employee's base salary plus a variable compensation. Incentives are earned based on performance and subject to plan terms.
    • OTE Projection: When base salary and variable compensation are combined, the projected OTE for this role is listed as the pay range below, assuming achievement of 100% of performance goals.

  • The compensation pay range represents our reasonable expectation for this role. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, experience, education, skillset, and geographic location.
  • This specific range applies to Tier 1 labor markets like the SF Bay Area and New York City; it may be adjusted based on the labor market in other geographic areas and the individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
