Job description

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and finance departments as a hands-on partner to the Chief Financial Office and Executive Leadership Team.

This position will require strong competencies in GAAP, treasury and cash management, and tax coordination. Prior experience in franchise and real estate industries is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily accounting and finance functions for all entities and prepare monthly internal financial reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and ownership.
  • Streamline, optimize and automate key components of the accounting and finance department.
  • Work in coordination with the CFO to manage cash flow for operating companies, real estate LLCs, and ownership.
  • Work in coordination with CFO and Executive Leadership Team to identify and implement P&L improvement initiatives.
  • Work in coordination with Executive Leadership Team and CFO to help analyze investment opportunities.
  • Assist CFO and work in coordination with external tax preparer to support tax filings and compliance for all entities
  • Work in coordination with CFO and Executive Leadership Team to partner with external financing groups
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Provide data tracking for budgeting across the company
  • Support the payroll team and work to create enhancements in our reporting, controls and execution of payroll

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA designation or MBA required
  • 10+ years of senior financial experience, ideally including leadership responsibility in a privately held business preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience in franchise and real estate industries preferred
  • Experience in SAGE Intacct preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate comfortably in both the financial and operational aspects of the business
  • Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and the ability to improve processes while maintaining reliable day-to-day execution
