Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently seeking a Financial Clearance Representative Associate – Central Pre-Registration to support one of our premier healthcare clients. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates with healthcare revenue cycle, insurance verification, and patient access experience.

Contract Details:

·         Pay rate: $19.08/hr.

·         100% Remote

·         Minimum 6-month temp/contract role (potential for extension)

Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

As a Financial Clearance Representative Associate, you will play a critical role in the healthcare revenue cycle by ensuring patients are financially cleared prior to receiving hospital services. You will verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, provide patient financial estimates, and complete pre-registration activities while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, productivity-driven remote environment.

You will work as part of a collaborative Patient Access team supporting multiple service lines including Surgery, Imaging, Women's Health, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, and other specialty departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete patient pre-registration by collecting and documenting demographic and insurance information in Epic.

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits using automated and manual verification tools.

  • Confirm coverage details, policy limitations, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and patient financial responsibility.

  • Obtain and document prior authorizations and financial clearances for scheduled services.

  • Provide proactive patient cost estimates and educate patients regarding financial responsibility.

  • Explain hospital policies, HIPAA information, patient rights, consent forms, and financial assistance programs.

  • Refer uninsured or underinsured patients to financial counseling resources.

  • Accurately document all interactions within Epic.

  • Collaborate with clinical staff, insurance carriers, and internal departments to resolve financial clearance issues.

  • May mentor less experienced team members on revenue cycle processes and payer requirements.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 6 months of healthcare experience involving:

    • Insurance eligibility verification

    • Benefit verification

    • Patient pre-registration

    • Healthcare business office or insurance operations

  • Experience working with clinical staff.

  • Experience reviewing and utilizing clinical documentation.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle front-end operations.

  • Knowledge of:

    • Commercial insurance

    • Medicare

    • Medicaid

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures.

  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.

  • Previous outpatient or inpatient healthcare experience.

  • Experience working within patient medical records.

  • Epic experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with other EMR/EHR systems.

  • Retail Pharmacy, PBM, or prior authorization experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience interpreting insurance benefits, denials, notifications, billing work queues, and patient financial estimates.
