Senior Financial Analyst

Our Finance Department within The TJX Companies, Inc. prepares and leads the reporting and ad hoc analysis to all areas of our business. While each group has their own area of expertise, they are all looked upon as leaders with vision responsible for understanding and communicating the data that drives our organization and makes us a global leader.

Your Impact:

  • Partnerwith different areas of the business to provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to our CFOs and senior leadership teams
  • Synthesizeconclusions and develop recommendations based on data you have captured
  • Driveannual and long range budgeting processes
  • Buildand maintain sophisticated financial models to support corporate decision making
  • Developpresentations and messaging for senior leadership
  • Collaboratecross functionally with other areas of TJX such as Store Operations, HR, Real Estate, Marketing, and Merchandising

Potential Projects:

  • Develop 1, 3 and 5-year financial plans and budgets
  • Capital Investment Decision Process - evaluate projects to determine if they meet ROI criteria, as well as support the long term growth of the business
  • Real Estate - provide store pro-forma analysis and other property evaluations for the company
  • Store Performance - analyze operational efficiencies and expense controls to ensure profit is maximized in each location
  • Marketing Campaigns - partner with Marketing to evaluate advertising and media campaigns
  • Merchandising Initiatives - evaluate inventory management/merchandising initiatives
  • Executive presentation preparation and KPI performance reporting

Who We Are Looking For: You.

  • 3+ years of Financial Analysis, Consulting, or Investment Banking experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics preferred
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude with Microsoft Office applications with sophisticated Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
