Job description

Optimum and Southwest Women's Oncology are seeking a dedicated and driven Chief Financial
Officer
to join our high-performance team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Who We Are
Optimum and Southwest Women's Oncology are two sides of the same coin, precision
performance and profound compassion.

At Optimum, we help people become the best versions of themselves, combining cutting-edge
medical science, biohacking, aesthetics, and human potential into a single ecosystem of vitality.
At SWWO, we help women triumph over gynecologic illness through skill, courage, and heart.
Together, we're building something rare: a culture where clinical excellence meets human
flourishing - where our team thrives as much as our patients and clients do.

Who You Are
You are a strategic financial leader who sees beyond the numbers.

You combine rigorous financial discipline with business intuition. You understand how finance
enables growth, protects mission, and creates optionality. You are equally comfortable in the
details of GAAP, healthcare reimbursement, and cash flow management - and in executive-level
conversations about strategy, risk, and long-term value creation.

You thrive in complex, multi-entity environments and enjoy building structure, systems, and
financial clarity where others see ambiguity. You bring calm, credibility, and confidence to
decision-making.

Who You Are Not
You are not someone who:

  • Operates purely as a back-office accountant without strategic perspective.
  • Avoids accountability for difficult financial decisions or trade-offs.
  • Is uncomfortable partnering closely with CEOs, physicians, and senior leaders.
  • Prefers static environments with little change or growth.
  • Treats compliance as a checkbox rather than a foundation for trust and sustainability.
  • This role requires a CFO who is hands-on, forward-looking, and deeply invested in the success of
    the organization.

      What You'll Do
      Financial Leadership & Strategy

      • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
      • Provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to support growth, capital
        planning, and long-term strategy.
      • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning processes across
        both entities.

      Financial Operations & Reporting

      • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual
        financial statements.
      • Manage accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable,
        payroll, and month-end close.
      • Ensure consistent financial policies, controls, and reporting standards across Optimum
        and SWWO.

Cash Flow, Capital & Risk Management

      • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic
        needs.
      • Oversee banking relationships, financing strategies, and capital allocation decisions.
      • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks, including insurance
        coverage.

Healthcare Finance, Compliance & Revenue Cycle

      • Ensure compliance with GAAP, CMS regulations, HIPAA, and federal and state healthcare
        financial laws.
      • Partner with clinical and administrative leaders to monitor revenue cycle performance,
        including billing, collections, and reimbursements.
      • Oversee audits, tax planning, and regulatory reporting

      Systems, Controls & Continuous Improvement

      • Evaluate, implement, and optimize financial systems, tools, and internal controls.
      • Improve reporting efficiency, visibility, and decision support through data and
        dashboards.
      • Maintain and enhance accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and financial models.

      Leadership & Team Development

      • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
      • Set clear expectations, build strong processes, and foster accountability.
      • Serve as a trusted leader across the organization.

      What You Bring

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA strongly
        preferred.
      • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior executive-level
        responsibility.
      • Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Finance in a healthcare setting.
      • Deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, payer mix, revenue cycle management,
        and regulatory requirements.
      • Strong grasp of GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes.
      • Experience with financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks Online and advanced
        Excel.
      • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
      • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
      • High integrity, sound judgment, and comfort handling sensitive information.

      The Optimum/SWWO Culture

We move fast, think long-term, and care deeply.
We don't reward activity; we reward impact.
We hire individuals who can self-manage, over-deliver, and elevate the people around them.
We believe kindness and accountability are not opposites - they're inseparable.
If you crave comfort, this isn't it.
If you crave mastery, meaning, and measurable impact - welcome home.

      Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, leadership bonuses, health & wellness coverage, and a 401(k) - but more
importantly, the chance to build a legacy.

Note: This is an full-time in-office position at our Albuquerque New Mexico office
