Indigitize is looking for financial leadership in addition to these back-office functions to support strategic decision making, budgeting, and forecasting.
What we’re looking for:

  • Financial analysis and reporting. Complete month end close and create monthly financial reports that are accessible and useful for organizational leadership.
  • Forecasting & cash planning. Produce and maintain forecasts on a quarterly basis covering revenue, expenses, and the organization’s cash position. Model different scenarios as requested based on funding and programmatic opportunities.
  • Strategic financial support. Advise the Project Director on the financial impact of strategic decisions. Participate in leadership conversations as needed.
  • Grant support. Develop budgets for grant proposals, produce financials for grant reports, track grants in and out payments, process grants out as necessary, and manage grant reporting deadlines.
  • Liaison with Tides Center. Serve as Indigitize’s primary financial point of contact with Tides’ accounting team. Flag issues, request adjustments, and coordinate as needed on reporting timelines and requirements.
  • Financial policies & controls. Recommend and help implement financial policies and procedures appropriate for Indigitize, working within the Tides structure.
  • Contracts and vendor management. Work with Tides on the creation of service contracts and manage vendors including vendor setup and entering bills in Netsuite for payment.
  • Payroll and benefits. Work with Tides on the creation of service contracts and manage vendors including vendor setup and entering bills in Netsuite for payment. Work with the Project Director and Tides to ensure payroll is accurate and allocated to the correct funding sources, and assist with annual benefits selections to ensure cost alignment with budget.
  • AP, expense reimbursements and Pcard charges. Enter vendor bills and expense reimbursements for payment processing and review credit card charges for accuracy and appropriate coding.

Other Duties and Responsibilities: Support the Project Director, Indigitize team and organization across various work streams and projects.
Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a CPA and/or MBA would be a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
  • Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a values-based, dynamic team.
  • 5+ years experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Strong technology skills, including experience with Netsuite, SalesForce, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and a wide range of supporting technologies and software.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Experience in Indigenous communities strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work with early stage teams and provide a road map to success for start up organizations.

Workload and Compensation:
  • Part time: 10-15 hours anticipated per week.
  • Rate: $65 per hour. Hours may fluctuate from week to week.

Organization Relationship: Reports to the Project Director.
