As one of our driven and passionate team members, you will be a key business partner to our CEO and VP, Administration and People, leading our Finance function and collaborating with our leadership team to drive financial excellence, scalability, and growth across new markets and accounts throughout the US. In this role you will oversee Finance, Accounting, and Purchasing operations, ensuring we maintain a strong foundation as we expand. This position is remote, ideally based in Los Angeles or Orange County, with periodic visits to our sites in Southern California. You'll also manage one direct report focused on payroll and purchasing, with the potential to grow the team over time.

In this role, you will:

Finance & Accounting

  • Lead and manage all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee month-ed close analysis, and invoicing with high client engagement and accuracy.
  • Lead the annual budget process and deliver actionable, data-driven forecasts.
  • Establish strong internal controls across AP/AR, cash management, and month-ed processes.
  • Evaluate and optimize financial systems to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Partner with external accounting firm and oversee corporate banking relationships.
  • Lead contract and proposal development, including financial analysis for new and existing accounts.
  • Define and track KPI's, ensuring revenue growth aligns with company goals.
  • Manage company-wide expense budgets and strategic financial planning.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, cash flow, and profitability.

Payroll & Purchasing

  • Oversee all payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and update payroll policies accordingly.
  • Streamline payroll and timekeeping processes to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead purchasing operations across all sites, managing vendors, and optimizing procurement processes.

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or Payroll, ideally in a high-growth organization.
  • Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems (Paylocity a plus).
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
  • Proven ability to influence, guide, and collaborate across departments.
  • Strong written communications skills, particularly in contract development and management.
