As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to establish a therapeutic relationship and identify treatment needs.
• Delivering individual and family therapy tailored to the unique goals and challenges of your clients, employing techniques grounded in best practices.
• Completing vital documentation, including billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance within specified timeframes.
• Developing comprehensive crisis plans and wellness strategies to support clients in crisis and those in need of ongoing management for their mental health.
• Creating thorough discharge plans in line with each client's progress and future care needs.
• Upholding all federal and state regulations, along with organizational policies, to ensure quality standards in mental health care.
• Engaging in continuous training and professional development to enhance your skills and maintain licensure through ongoing education.
• Participating actively in case consultations and agency meetings to share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues.
• Ensuring completion of licensure requirements and mandatory training as set by state guidelines.

Your work will involve a diverse patient population, including individuals and families dealing with a range of mental health issues. You will be responsible for developing rapport with clients from varied backgrounds, employing a culturally aware approach that fosters a safe space for open dialogue and healing.

The successful candidate will have:

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensing.
• Current licensure as a mental health therapist in the state of Georgia (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).

We highly value prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly within telehealth or remote counseling formats. Familiarity with evidence-based therapies and techniques, as well as a history of working with diverse populations, will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.
