Job description

Our client is seeking to add a Sr. Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to their California team. This remote position will focus on handling California Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must possess a strong knowledge in California Law and have their SIP.

This is a Temporary-to-Hire position with the ability to work fully remote!

  • Handle moderate to complex California Workers Compensation claims with minimal supervision and ‎guidance from the manager.
  • Manage a caseload of 80 - 85 lost time files.
  • Manage medical treatment and medical billing when appropriate
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
  • Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and ‎adherence to department Best Practices.‎

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation claims.
  • Must be well-versed in California Workers Compensation Law.
  • Must have SIP.
  • Must have experience handling litigated files.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. 

Salary/Benefits:

  • $45.00/hr to $55.00/hr (Depending on experience) plus Overtime
