Job Title: Service Market Development Representative

Who you are: You have energy and drive in abundance, a passion for serving our customers and possess a growth mindset and love of continuous learning, with an appreciation for diverse perspectives and helping others win.

Position Overview: The Market Development Representative is responsible for lead generation and customer conversion for the Epredia Service Business. The representative will contact customers primarily by telephone; but also use email, internet, and other technology to drive conversion for three revenue streams that consists of Service Contracts, Billable Service, and Spare Parts.

  • The SMDR maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth and increases market penetration while achieving sales and profit targets.

  • This role offers the opportunity to spend time with business leaders through all functions in order to gain a full understanding of the business and to drive Service revenue for the Americas Service Organization.

Location: Remote. Candidate must be located in EST or CST.

What you will do:

  • Manage targeted customer calls, quote inquires, product inquiries, documentation requirements to further the growth of the entire Service portfolio.

  • Proactively and reactively pursue service revenue; to include billable service, lost contracts, and warranty conversions.

  • Independently make decisions on contract and/or billable service offerings to customer based on their needs, but also utilize available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively in a coordinated effort with cross-functional service members composed of Field Service Engineers, Field Applications Specialists, and Field Service Managers.

  • Research and negotiate within market to secure service revenue. For example, this could be in the avenues of obtaining competitor quotes, reviewing cities within the region to penetrate the area with new contracts to keep our service engineers within the area.

  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed revenue growth objectives

  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required.

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with key decision makers such as purchasing and end users within assigned territory.

  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; introduce new products and services.

  • Help support quoting, tenders, and all required legal documentation for securing Service Business.

  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory.

  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned by manager.

  • Leveraging the sales and field service teams for information, lead generation, and market intel.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in the sciences or business management, or equivalent work experience.

  • 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in the healthcare or service industry.

  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) proficiency preferred.

  • Must be able to work EST hours.

  • Must be willing to travel to customer locations as needed (up to 10%).

The hiring range for this position is: $65,000 - $72,000 plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
