Vatica Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is key to delivering high-quality mental health services within our community health clinic setting. You will utilize a user-friendly platform that allows you to seamlessly manage your caseload, document client notes, and track patient progress without the traditional administrative burdens associated with private practice. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, adjusting care plans in response to changes in patient status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals, ensuring alignment with overall mental health goals.
• Provide referrals for clients to necessary community resources, including treatment programs, support groups, and mental health specialists to enhance overall well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create effective discharge plans, ensuring continuity of care post-treatment.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as facility clinical standards, operating within the scope of the Mental Health Practice Act.
• Organize and prioritize your daily tasks by assessing the needs of new and returning patients, thus ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
• Deliver social work consultations, including psychosocial assessments and crisis intervention services.
• Act as an advocate for patients and their families, facilitating communication with varied healthcare and community service providers.
• Identify patients at risk for avoidable delays and coordinate solutions with care providers.
• Support the Employee Assistance Program by providing debriefing for staff members after challenging patient interactions.

You will work primarily with diverse populations, including those experiencing a range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to severe mood disorders and trauma. Vatica Counseling Center’s client focus emphasizes providing culturally competent and compassionate care tailored to individual backgrounds and needs. By leveraging community resources, you will help clients navigate their paths toward recovery and resilience.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia.
• A thorough understanding of community mental health resources and referral processes is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with clients to facilitate their healing journey.

• Experience in community-based mental health settings is highly valued.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities to address trauma and various mental health disorders.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems and case management software.

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
