The National Account BDR (Business Development Representative) is a full-time, remote role. The primary responsibilities include generating leads, building relationships with prospective clients, and driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives. The role involves identifying potential opportunities, conducting outreach, and collaborating with internal teams to provide tailored solutions. The position requires proactive communication with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

To be successful as a Business Development Representative, you should demonstrate strong account management, negotiation, and sales growth capabilities, along with the ability to deliver customized solutions. Responsibilities
  • Maintain CRM, logging all communications and activities, serving as primary point of contact for national accounts.

  • Assist in development and execution of sales strategies to exceed expectations.

  • Contract and Renewal Management: negotiate terms and conditions to secure new business, renewals, and pricing changes

  • Acting as a problem solver to resolve pricing, service, or complaints in a timely manner

  • Increasing program value to your clients through innovative solutions

  • Financial responsibility of material volume, service offerings, and margins by analyzing data and market trends

  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of the company's products or services

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required

Competencies
  • Proficiency in outside sales and lead generation to identify and engage prospective clients.

  • Strong Communication skills to build relationships and clearly convey value propositions.

  • Sales and business development experience to drive revenue growth and acquire new accounts.

  • Prior business development experience strongly preferred

  • Strong background in negotiations and vendor management

  • Experience in HubSpot or other CRM systems preferred

  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills (group and individual)

  • Fosters a positive work environment through a great attitude, effective communication and flexibility

  • Excellent time management, prioritization of tasks and multi-tasking skills

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business development experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of business development as a buyer or sales role within an industrial sector
