Millennial Counseling Centre is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative team in a fully remote setting. Work Environment

Operating from Monday to Friday, our therapists typically adhere to a schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the provision for flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather in-depth insights into each patient’s trauma history, ensuring a personalized approach to treatment.
• Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans that center around trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the effective management of symptoms.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.
• Offer both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating a safe space for patients to process their experiences and develop coping strategies.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to patients during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and collected presence in high-stress situations.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, equipping them with resources to aid in their healing journey.
• Maintain accurate documentation aligned with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and transparency in patient care.
• Contribute to team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities focused on ongoing improvements in trauma-informed care practices.
• Engage in continuous education to remain informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist at Millennial Counseling Centre, you will work primarily with individuals facing the challenges of trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and complex trauma cases. The population we serve spans diverse backgrounds and experiences, necessitating a tailored and culturally sensitive approach to therapy. Your role will be crucial in guiding them through their recovery journeys, helping them to reclaim their narratives and regain control over their lives.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, with particular emphasis on resilience-building strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering a compassionate and non-judgmental environment for patients.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong familiarity with technology for remote therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy preferred.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and an understanding of associated ethical considerations.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
