Harbor of Hope Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our teletherapy team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health counseling services to a diverse client base, including adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and children, all from the comfort of your remote workspace. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for clients and their families upon admission and periodically, to evaluate emotional, social, and physical needs, utilizing relevant social work theories and techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that all referrals to specialty and social services are efficiently managed.
  • Assist clients and their families in coping with environmental and psychological stressors resulting from illness, providing tailored therapeutic interventions that address their unique situations.
  • Independently manage a diverse caseload consisting of various clinical complexities, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records in line with healthcare policies.
  • Engage in proactive outreach to identify patients and families at risk for psychosocial challenges, attending team conferences and participating in interdisciplinary rounds as required.
  • Offer vital therapeutic services including supportive counseling, grief counseling, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation to help clients understand and navigate their mental health journey.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to Masterโ€™s level social workers and student interns, fostering their learning and development within the organization.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, contributing insights that help refine policies and procedures related to social work services.
  • Formulate mental health diagnoses to inform effective treatment planning as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes adults, geriatric clients, adolescents, and pediatric populations. You will be responsible for addressing a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and various psychosocial stressors. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited institution is required.
