Position Overview

Benchmark Behavioral Health Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide high-caliber mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma. Work Environment

This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to operate from the comfort of your home while maintaining access to a supportive professional network. Although most of our services are conducted virtually, you will also work closely with a team of skilled mental health professionals, participating in virtual meetings and consultations to ensure an integrated approach to patient care in our outpatient office setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Create and implement tailored intervention strategies aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and fostering resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to patients.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and offer immediate support to individuals experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies to better navigate recovery.
• Document patient progress diligently, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards for mental health documentation.
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in ongoing professional development to refine trauma-informed care skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults and adolescents grappling with the impact of trauma. You will work with individuals seeking healing from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, all while employing a trauma-informed lens that recognizes the unique experiences and needs of each patient. The work you do will have a profound impact on their quality of life, guiding them toward recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, showcasing your readiness for this critical role.
• Proficient knowledge of trauma-related disorders and various trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Strong therapeutic skills in employing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset, eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications or specialized training in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic modalities will be viewed favorably. Experience in a remote work environment will also be advantageous as you adjust to our service delivery model.

Compensation and Benefits
