Position Overview

Family Matters Care Consultants is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time remote position is focused on delivering trauma-informed care to assist individuals in their healing journeys. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health and trauma histories; tailor interventions based on their unique circumstances.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans centered on recovery-oriented goals and resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to help patients navigate their trauma recovery.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and encouraging space for patients to process their experiences and develop coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to guarantee seamless, integrated care for all patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in high-stress situations related to trauma.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings aimed at fostering a trauma-informed care approach.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma and are navigating the complex emotional and psychological aftermath. This may include but is not limited to survivors of violence, abuse, accidents, or natural disasters. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each patient will be critical in providing effective support and treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to remain composed and organized during high-pressure emergencies.
• Proven ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage collaboratively with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Background in crisis intervention and managing trauma-related emergencies.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional growth and development within the field of mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
