Client CIO Architecture, Strategy & Innovation (CASI) is responsible to assist Vice President of Information Technology (IT) design, develop, maintain, support, and translate corporate business vision and strategy along with stakeholder input into objectives for building, enhancing, or replacing business and IT systems capabilities, together with an implementation of a comprehensive IT roadmap, all-the-while maintaining resilience to change as a key architectural and strategy objective for the enterprise. In the fast-paced world of IT, agility and responsiveness to the frequently occurring changes in direction are a must, even while moving continuously forward implementing elements of the Postmaster Generals Delivering for America 10-year plan.
To support the clients mission, projects, and system requirements, the client requires sophisticated information technology systems support services by experienced professionals. The CASI team demonstrates leadership by evaluating and driving implementation of innovative solutions for technology infrastructure and application architecture.
Description
Responsible for designing and implementing enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing. Analyzes system requirements and ensures that systems will be securely integrated with current applications. Has a deep understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Ideally requires a bachelors degree or demonstrated architectural experience in the area of specialization. Experience communicating with key executives in a concise yet analytical manner.
• Chosen resource must demonstrate these capabilities through actual work experience not merely training:
o Expert knowledge of Google cloud services and have an Active Google Cloud Associate or Professional certification.
o Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements and identify Google cloud centric system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
o Knowledge of industry developments, business information systems and practices, development methods, procedures, standards, techniques, Agile application life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration of code development, and current cloud technologies, in particular Google cloud.
o Experience leading the design, development and deployment of performant cloud business software, in particular Google cloud, at scale or current hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
o Ability to integrate cloud services, in particular on Google cloud, with other SaaS or on-premise technologies from leading vendor products Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
o Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements in a regulated environment such as SOX and PCI for cloud applications, in particular on Google cloud.
o Ability to automate complex tasks, in particular on Google cloud, using scripting or coding skills, or similar current automation tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
o Knowledge of information systems enterprise-wide architecture including knowledge of a wide range of foundational technology such as cloud services, servers and storage, virtualization, high availability, performance analysis and management, and enterprise infrastructure monitoring for highly available web-scale systems.

o Prepares solution descriptions, assumptions, technical approach, and content that explains why solution is recommended, risks and mitigation plans.
o Leads cultural change for cloud adoption. Actively participates in the development and socialization of Infrastructure Solution roadmaps related to public cloud offerings.
o Creates and communicates cloud policies, procedures, standards, design patterns, and reference architectures that define repeatable solutions.
o Identifies training and development needs required to support cloud-based solutions standards; develops materials for training and awareness and delivers messages to intended audience.
o Interfaces with vendors to ensure standard architectures are adhered to and implemented for projects within a specific technology area.
o Provides technical direction to management and systems professionals engaged in the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of business information systems.
o Ensures alignment of infrastructure and application solution design to the overall architecture for Enterprise applications and compliance with defined technology standards, policies, processes and best industry practices.
o Researches and analyzes the technology industry and market trends relating to cloud technologies to determine potential impact upon the IT enterprise; makes recommendations to capitalize on trends and industry best practice.
o Ensures the architecture governance structure is applied in a defined solutions area based on business and IT organization strategies.
o Ensures publication and update of solution standards pertaining to cloud hosted solutions and manages individual projects related to the release and propagation of standards across IT.
o Provides leadership and technical assistance as an IT SWAT team member to management and systems professionals engaged in problem solving regarding the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of business information systems.
Education:
A minimum of thirteen (13) to twenty (20) years relevant experience.
o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is preferred. four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a college degree is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
