Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring that all documentation complies with regulatory standards and is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools and collaborate with clinical teams to design and implement effective positive behavior support plans.
  • Engage actively in pre-crisis and crisis planning, including the development of behavioral guidelines, medication treatment plans, and risk assessments.
  • Establish open communication channels with various stakeholders, including state agencies and community partners, to enhance service delivery and promote the organization's mission.
  • Take part in all licensing and accreditation activities, ensuring that the clinic adheres to established quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities such as conferences and educational workshops to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health counseling.
  • Assist the Clinic Director with various administrative duties as required, demonstrating a proactive approach to organizational needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on working with adults and adolescents who face a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. You will provide support to clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting their unique experiences and tailoring therapeutic interventions to foster personal growth and recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
  • A valid Independent LMHC License issued by the state of Connecticut is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain clinical records and prepare detailed reports that reflect patient progress and compliance with regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Sound clinical judgment and the ability to make informed decisions based on evidence-based practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing telehealth services or familiarity with digital healthcare platforms is highly desirable.
