The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering mental health services within a detox center setting, focusing on patient assessment, individualized treatment planning, and crisis intervention. This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

This role is entirely remote, enabling a flexible working environment while utilizing the advanced resources and support systems of our detox center. Although this position primarily functions from home, candidates must be prepared for occasional evening hours and adaptability during peak periods of patient care. You will engage actively with a multidisciplinary team, colleagues based in various departments, and through telehealth modalities.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and mental health screenings to evaluate the unique needs of detox patients, developing and implementing tailored treatment plans based on individual circumstances.
• Provide high-quality short-term counseling sessions, focusing on crisis intervention, stability, and goal-setting aligned with the patient’s recovery process.
• Lead and facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops focused on key issues such as substance use recovery, coping strategies, and personal growth topics.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, substance abuse specialists, and community organizations to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Engage in outreach activities that aim to promote mental health awareness and enhance community engagement with mental health resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient records in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring ethical practices in all documentation and communication.

This role focuses on supporting individuals undergoing detoxification and rehabilitation. Our patient population often includes those grappling with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and the complexity of dual-diagnosis circumstances. The counselor will cater to a diverse demographic, helping individuals navigate the sensitive, transitional period of their treatment and recovery journey.

• An active state license is required, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related discipline is mandatory.
• Demonstrated understanding of the specific mental health issues prevalent among detox patients, including trauma-informed care principles and motivational interviewing techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and facilitate collaboration with a diverse medical team.
• Keen knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches suited for a detox setting, incorporating brief therapy models when necessary.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced remote environment, managing a varied caseload and prioritizing effectively to meet patient needs.

• Previous experience working with addiction, substance abuse treatment facilities, or detox settings is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
• Participation in community mental health initiatives and public speaking on mental health topics.
