This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with patients effectively from your own environment while contributing to a collaborative online team culture. The typical work schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. As part of our team, you will utilize telehealth technology to conduct virtual sessions and maintain ongoing communication with patients and colleagues, ensuring a cohesive therapeutic experience.

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of new patients to assess their needs and develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific mental and emotional challenges.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques during sessions to aid trauma injury patients in achieving improved mental health outcomes.
• Engage patients in open dialogues, fostering a trusting relationship that encourages them to share their experiences and concerns.
• Monitor patient progress diligently and modify treatment plans in response to their evolving needs and feedback.
• Provide educational resources and workshops on stress management and coping mechanisms to empower patients and enhance their resilience.
• Collaborate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community programs to coordinate necessary support services for patients.
• Stay informed of the latest developments in mental health practices through ongoing education and professional development, maintaining your National Certified Counselor certification.
• Be an advocate for patients, addressing gaps in support for individuals injured by trauma and continuously seeking ways to improve the quality of care offered.

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients who often face complex mental health issues stemming from their experiences. This population may include individuals who have suffered from physical accidents, emotional distress following traumatic events, or chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Your role will involve providing a safe and supportive environment where these patients can explore their feelings and develop effective coping strategies.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Current and valid License as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating proficient therapeutic skills and cultural competency.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to connect with patients and collaborate with clinical teams effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous.

Candidates with prior experience in trauma-informed care practices or specialized training in trauma therapy methodologies will be prioritized. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic documentation processes will enhance the efficiency of care delivery.
