Marina Consultation and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. • Perform comprehensive assessments and mental health screenings to identify patients' needs and formulate tailored treatment plans to facilitate improved mental health outcomes.
• Provide evidence-based short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention for a broad spectrum of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
• Design and facilitate engaging therapeutic groups and workshops that focus on skill-building in areas such as stress management, emotional regulation, and personal development.
• Work in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and community organizations, to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness and promoting wellness in our community.
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards as well as organizational procedures.

Our diverse patient population includes individuals from various backgrounds, age groups, and socioeconomic statuses, each presenting unique mental health challenges. You will work with patients experiencing acute mental health crises, chronic mental health issues, and those seeking preventive mental health services. Your role will significantly contribute to improving the overall quality of life for these individuals through targeted interventions and support.

• Must hold an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Strong understanding of the complex issues related to mental health within a clinical environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients effectively and collaborate with a diverse medical team.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief interventions suited for telehealth delivery.
• Adeptness in time management and the ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.

While a Bachelor’s degree is required, candidates with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field and experience in a hospital or telehealth setting will be prioritized. We look for professionals who have previously worked with patients dealing with significant psychological distress or crises, and those with knowledge of trauma-informed care practices.
