• Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate students' mental health needs, providing tailored recommendations for appropriate treatment options.
• Deliver short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services to students facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and stress management.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops, addressing topics such as coping strategies, resilience building, and personal development to enhance students' mental health literacy.
• Collaborate with key campus partners such as academic advisors and residential life staff to ensure a holistic approach to student support, ensuring a network of resources is available.
• Participate actively in outreach and prevention initiatives, including launching mental health awareness campaigns and hosting wellness events to foster a proactive approach to student mental well-being.
• Maintain precise and confidential records of student interactions while complying with ethical and legal standards for privacy in mental health treatment.

The primary focus of this role is on the student population, comprising diverse backgrounds and unique mental health needs. Counselors will work with students from varying academic levels and personal experiences, understanding the significant pressures they face in a school environment. This dynamic setting requires professionals who can offer empathy, understanding, and specialized strategies to support students effectively.

• An active and valid license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Proven expertise in addressing the specific mental health challenges encountered by the college-age demographic.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective engagement with students and collaboration with a diverse campus community.
• Strong familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy models applicable in a school counseling context.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload with professionalism and care.

• A minimum of three years of direct counseling experience, particularly within educational settings or with adolescent populations.
• Experience in developing and leading wellness programs, outreach initiatives, or educational workshops.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork and the intricacies involved in cross-departmental collaboration in a school setting.
