As of Jun 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for remote esthetician in the United States is $21.81, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.38 and $26.92 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Remote Esthetician?

As a Remote Esthetician, your day usually involves conducting virtual skincare consultations, assessing clients’ needs, and developing personalized regimens or recommending products. You may also manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate digital client records, and provide follow-up advice through phone, video, or email. Remote estheticians often collaborate with other beauty or wellness professionals, and may participate in virtual training sessions to stay current on the latest trends. This role allows you to offer expert advice and ongoing support to clients without being limited to a physical location.

Where can estheticians make the most money?

Estheticians tend to earn higher wages in metropolitan areas with a higher cost of living and greater demand for skincare services. Salaries can also increase with specialized skills, advanced certifications, and working in luxury spas or medical settings such as dermatology clinics or plastic surgery offices. Experience and reputation can further impact earning potential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote Esthetician position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Esthetician, you need formal education in esthetics and a valid state esthetician license, along with a deep knowledge of skincare products, treatments, and techniques. Experience with telehealth or video consultation platforms, digital scheduling systems, and online retail tools is highly beneficial. Outstanding remote customer service, adaptability, and excellent verbal communication enable you to build trust and deliver effective skin care advice virtually. These skills ensure you can provide professional-quality service, personalized consultations, and foster client loyalty from a distance.

What is a Remote Esthetician job?

A Remote Esthetician provides virtual skincare consultations, product recommendations, and personalized treatment plans to clients through online platforms. They use video calls, emails, or chat to assess skin concerns and guide clients on proper skincare routines. Some may also sell skincare products or offer virtual tutorials. While they don’t perform hands-on treatments, they help clients achieve their skincare goals remotely.

How to make $100,000 a year as an esthetician?

To earn $100,000 annually as a remote esthetician, professionals typically need to build a strong client base, offer specialized or high-demand services, and charge premium rates. Increasing income may also involve expanding into product sales, providing online consultations, or obtaining advanced certifications to justify higher fees.

Can I work as an esthetician from home?

Licensed estheticians can work from home by offering services such as skincare consultations, product sales, or virtual advice, but they cannot perform in-person treatments without a proper licensed facility. Regulations vary by location, so it is important to check local licensing laws and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Many estheticians also need to obtain specific permits or certifications to operate a home-based business legally.

Will estheticians be replaced by AI?

Estheticians perform personalized skincare treatments that require manual skills, human interaction, and aesthetic judgment, making full replacement by AI unlikely in the near future. While AI and automation can assist with skin analysis and appointment management, the hands-on aspect and customer service remain essential components of the profession.

Job description

Independent Skincare Sales Representative 1099 Contractor

Dermalosophy Professional Skincare | Amplified by Astanza

Astanza is seeking motivated, relationship-driven independent sales representatives to support the launch and growth of Dermalosophy in the U.S. market. Dermalosophy is a professional skincare line designed for aesthetic practices, medical spas, dermatology offices, plastic surgery practices, and other skincare-focused providers.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity ideal for experienced aesthetic, skincare, medical device, or beauty industry sales professionals who already have relationships within the professional aesthetics market and are looking to expand their portfolio with a differentiated skincare brand.

About the Opportunity

As an Independent Skincare Sales Representative, you will help introduce Dermalosophy to qualified professional accounts across your territory. You will be responsible for identifying prospective accounts, building relationships, presenting the brand, supporting account onboarding, and driving product sales through a professional, consultative approach.

This role is best suited for someone who is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently while representing a brand with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities may include:

  • Identify and develop new Dermalosophy account opportunities within medical spas, dermatology practices, plastic surgery offices, wellness clinics, entrepreneurial esthetician businesses and aesthetic practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers, providers, estheticians, practice managers, and business owners.
  • Present Dermalosophy's brand story, product positioning, and professional skincare opportunity in a clear and compelling way.
  • Support account onboarding and help practices understand how Dermalosophy can fit into their retail, treatment, and patient-care offerings.
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospects and active accounts.
  • Track lead activity, follow-ups, and sales progress.
  • Collaborate with Astanza's internal team when additional clinical, educational, or operational support is needed.
  • Represent Astanza and Dermalosophy with professionalism at all times.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for independent representatives who have:

  • Experience selling into the professional aesthetics, skincare, dermatology, plastic surgery, med spa, or wellness market.
  • Existing relationships with aesthetic practices or skincare professionals.
  • A strong understanding of consultative sales and relationship-based account development.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
  • Confidence presenting products and business opportunities to professional accounts.
  • A polished, professional presence.
  • A passion for aesthetics, skincare, education, and helping practices grow.
  • Previous experience with professional skincare, aesthetic devices, injectables, practice development, or medical spa sales is strongly preferred.
Why Represent Dermalosophy?

Dermalosophy gives independent representatives the opportunity to bring a professional, skin-health-focused skincare brand to the growing U.S. aesthetics market.

Designed to support the skin before, during, and after aesthetic treatments, Dermalosophy helps practices build comprehensive skincare routines that support barrier function, hydration, radiance, and long-term patient satisfaction.

For medical spas, dermatology practices, plastic surgery offices, and aesthetic providers, Dermalosophy offers more than skincare. It provides a professional solution that helps practices enhance the patient experience, strengthen treatment plans, and create meaningful retail growth opportunities.

Representatives will also benefit from Astanza's education-driven infrastructure, established aesthetics presence, and commitment to helping providers grow with confidence.

Compensation

This is a commission-based 1099 contractor opportunity with competitive earning potential. Compensation details are discussed during the interview process and are based on the final independent contractor agreement.

Representatives may have the opportunity to earn through new account development, product sales, and ongoing account growth.

About Astanza

Astanza is a leading aesthetic technology company committed to helping providers succeed through innovative devices, hands-on education, responsive service, and long-term business support.

At Astanza, our culture is built on teamwork, integrity, education, and doing what is right for our customers. We believe in building lasting relationships, supporting our clients beyond the initial sale, and creating an environment where people are encouraged to grow, contribute, and make an impact.

Our team is passionate about aesthetics, training, customer success, and helping practices build stronger businesses. As we expand into professional skincare with Dermalosophy, we are looking for independent representatives who share our values and want to be part of a growth-focused opportunity.

Contractor Status

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Representatives are not employees of Astanza and are responsible for managing their own schedule, business activities, expenses, and applicable taxes. Final terms, expectations, and compensation structure will be outlined in a written independent contractor agreement.

Apply

Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, relevant sales experience, and a cover letter outlining their current relationships or experience within the professional aesthetics market and which geographical markets you are interested in covering.
