The Part Time Content Writer - Military (U.S. Air Force) will be responsible for the creation of study material used by U.S. Air Force service members for their advancement and other career examinations. Responsible for the review of provided information and subsequent creation of study material via an employer-provided web portal. Will be a primary source of creation of content for customer dealing with their area of specialty, with minimum content creation guidelines. Expected to be an expert in their respective career field, with documented experience in multiple commands dealing with the same. Provides technical insight into selected AFSC fields.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Using an internet-connected computer (BYOD) (Chromebook is not sufficient), review of employer-provided material to determine key points for creation of content.
  • Review/Create content in the employer-provided web portal, which provides in-depth coverage of material on career examinations and other topics.
  • Create content in technical English, following industry-appropriate grammar, spelling, and language conventions.
  • Submit work for approval, and make all required changes. Accept feedback during the review process.
  • Provide a minimum of 20 hours per week of content creation within employer-provided guidelines (defined writing standards).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate Degree (or higher) preferred.
  • 15 years of active-duty USAF Enlisted experience in selected career field; Competent in online navigation and use of Google Suite of services;
  • 10 years of Military Technical reading/writing
  • Demonstrates clear and effective written and online communication. Ability to clearly and professionally convey information. Attention to technical and written detail.
  • Significant documented Air Force Specialty Code training.
  • Career Assistance Advisor (CAA) or Airmen Development Advisor (ADA) experience preferred.
  • Staff or Instructor Tour

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (in English/Writing or AFSC field preferred)
  • Basic Instructor / EPME Instructor / Facilitator
