Job Title: Storyteller

Organization: Digital Aid Seattle

Location: Remote (North American candidates preferred)

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities

  • Completing writing projects which include long-form blogs, social media, emails, and more of our external media.
  • Have a keen eye for voice, tone, style, and storytelling
  • Help create style guides or suggesting changes to ensure content is consistent and clear
  • Optimizing articles for SEO and accessibility
  • Identifying gaps in content and recommending new topics
  • Editing content to ensure voice, grammar and style is correct and consistent with brand
  • Staying up to date on industry trends to support content development
  • Distilling complex concepts and language into content that is easily understood
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, branding, and style
  • Managing and completing work on time for multiple content writing projects

Requirements and skills

  • In-progress or completed degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related major
  • Experience in long and short form writing (blogs, email, social media, etc.)
  • A portfolio of writing samples that showcase your best work
  • Experience with analytics and content optimization not required, but definitely a plus
