As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Providing care coordination by liaising between clients, their families, and other community resources to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Consulting with multidisciplinary teams to devise and implement comprehensive treatment approaches that align with best practices.
• Delivering psychotherapeutic treatments to individuals, families, and groups using evidence-based modalities.
• Collaborating with community agencies to connect clients with additional resources and support services.
• Documenting treatment plans and maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with established protocols.
• Assisting in disposition planning as an advocate for your clients, ensuring continuity of care across services.

You will primarily work with adult and geriatric populations, providing therapeutic support that addresses their unique needs. There is also potential to extend services to child and adolescent populations in the future. Your role is crucial in guiding clients through challenges, supporting their emotional wellness, and helping them achieve positive mental health outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Strong understanding of clinical theories and models, with the ability to apply them effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills to foster rapport with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Competence in documenting clinical notes and treatment summaries, ensuring clarity and compliance with medical records policies.
• In-depth knowledge of social work ethics and the scope of practice related to mental health.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in:

• Working with diverse populations, particularly in community health settings.
