Job description

Overview Position: PhD-Level Bioinformatics Experts Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $60–$85 per hour Location: Remote Commitment: Approximately 4 weeks (rolling task assignments) Role Responsibilities Solve complex bioinformatics data analysis problems independently Analyze large biological datasets across genomics, transcriptomics, and related domains Develop complete analytical workflows using reproducible Jupyter notebooks Apply computational reasoning to biological problems in areas such as virology, genomics, and transcriptomics Ensure workflows are well-documented, reproducible, and scientifically rigorous Requirements PhD or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or related field Hands-on experience in at least two areas such as RNA-seq analysis, variant calling, metagenomics, epigenomics (ChIP-seq/methylation), single-cell analysis, or population genetics Proficiency in Python and/or R for bioinformatics pipelines Experience producing well-documented and reproducible Jupyter notebooks Familiarity with command-line bioinformatics tools (e.g., samtools) Strong independent problem-solving ability for ambiguous analytical tasks #J-18808-Ljbffr
